Why we built Relevy
The short version: tax software shouldn’t feel like it was built for accountants.
The problem we kept seeing
Sole traders and tradespeople are brilliant at the work and, understandably, sick of the admin. Quotes in one place, invoices in another, receipts in the van, and a tax return looming that nobody enjoys. The big accounting tools can do it all, but they’re built for bookkeepers, and they charge and look the part.
Then Making Tax Digital came along
HMRC is about to make quarterly digital filing the norm. For a lot of people that felt like one more thing to worry about. We thought it could be the opposite: if the quotes, jobs and invoices you already do every day quietly became your tax records, filing would stop being an event.
So we built the simple one
Relevy does the run of the job from end to end, quote to invoice to filing, and nothing you don’t need. It runs in any browser, it’s honest about what’s free and what you pay for, and it treats your data like it matters. That’s the whole idea.
Who we are
We’re a small UK team, Relevy Ltd, based in England. We’re close enough to the trade to know where the admin actually hurts, and we’re building the tool we wished existed. If you’ve got a question or an idea, we’d genuinely like to hear it: support@relevy.co.uk.
